KALISPELL, Mont. (AP) - Two people were arrested after a 38-year-old Libby man was shot to death over the weekend.

The Lincoln County sheriff’s office says the shooting was reported at about 3:30 p.m. Sunday. The Flathead Beacon reports (https://bit.ly/1tXeu5T) deputies and Libby police responded and found Thomas Lawrence Veloz dead.

The home’s owner, 74-year-old Henry Carl Schroeder, was arrested on suspicion of negligent homicide and tampering with evidence while 43-year-old Kimberlee Ann Patterson was arrested on suspicion of tampering.

Officials did not release any information about what may have prompted the shooting or the relationship among those involved.

Veloz’s body was taken to the state crime lab in Missoula for an autopsy.
