LAUGHLIN, Nev. (AP) - A 31-year-old man is being held on assault on a police officer and domestic battery charges after authorities say he stabbed his girlfriend in the hand and fought with officers who used a Taser stun gun to arrest him in Laughlin.

Raymond Medina was being held Monday at the Las Vegas Metropolitan police lockup in the Colorado River resort pending an initial court appearance on one felony and two misdemeanor charges.

Another man found with a knife wound to the neck was flown by medical helicopter to a Las Vegas hospital after police arrived about 9:40 p.m. Sunday to a report of an altercation in a Laughlin recreational vehicle park.

Officer Laura Meltzer says that man told investigators he hurt himself.

Meltzer says his injuries aren’t believed to be life-threatening.
