DENVER (AP) - Denver International Airport is planning to build a four-story garage that will add 1,795 parking spots near the southeast corner of the Jeppesen Terminal.

Airport spokesman Heath Montgomery says that in 2013, the airport saw 101 days in which either the east or west garage was full. In 2014, a garage was full on 120 days.

The Denver Post reports (https://dpo.st/1LFaFYB ) the new $46 million garage will take two years to complete.

The project, which is expected to begin this month, comes as DIA is completing the addition of 261 parking spaces next to the north end of the east parking garage and a redesign of the east and west economy lots that added 430 spaces.

When the garage is complete, DIA will manage 43,275 parking spaces.
