COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (AP) - Authorities say a 28-year-old bicyclist was killed when he was hit by a car at an intersection in Colorado Springs.

The Colorado State Patrol says the man from Dickinson, North Dakota was wearing dark clothing and had no reflective items on his bike when he was hit at about 12:40 a.m. Monday. The man, whose name has not been released, was not wearing a helmet.

The Gazette reports (https://bit.ly/1yxv4pw ) the cyclist was crossing the street in an unlighted section. The driver of the car was not injured.
