SHAWNEE, Okla. (AP) - Funeral services have been scheduled for an Oklahoma Highway Patrol trooper who was killed at the scene of a traffic accident.

A patrol spokesman said Monday that services for Nicholas Dees will be held noon Saturday at the Broken Bow High School. Trooper Keith Burch and Dees were struck Saturday night by a vehicle while responding to a semitrailer accident.

Dees died at the scene and Burch was taken to an Oklahoma City hospital with serious injuries. An update on his condition wasn’t immediately available Monday evening.

No charges have been reported.
