PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) - Gas prices in Rhode Island are continuing to drop, falling 2 cents per gallon in the past week.

A weekly survey by AAA Northeast finds that the average price of a gallon of regular was down to $2.08.

That’s $1.36 less than at this time last year and 32 cents lower than a month ago.

Prices have been on a downward trend since the summer and data from the state energy office shows the price of gas hasn’t been this low since 2010.

AAA says the price of gas in Rhode Island is still 2 cents higher than the national average of $2.06 per gallon.
