BUCKEYE, Ariz. (AP) - Maricopa County Sheriff’s investigators say they’ve located a vehicle believed involved in a fatal hit-and-run in Buckeye last month.

Authorities say 38-year-old Keith Edgemon was found dead on a road Jan. 23.

Sheriff’s investigators say Edgemon was walking or standing on Palo Verde Road when he was struck by a large vehicle that didn’t stop at the scene.

Investigators say there wasn’t vehicle debris near the collision site and the only evidence was injury pattern marks on Edgemon’s body.

The MCSO Vehicular Crimes Unit located a vehicle that had vehicle parts extending out from the left side behind the driver’s compartment.

Investigators say the size and shape of the parts were consistent with the injury patterns on Edgemon’s body.

They say the vehicle’s unidentified owner is cooperating with authorities.
