SISTERS, Ore. (AP) - A Deschutes County sheriff’s spokesman says a 70-year-old Sisters, Oregon, man has been found dead after his family reported him overdue on a hike.

Lt. Chad Davis said Monday that a deputy found the body of James Holcomb on a Forest Service road about 10 miles south of Sisters after relatives notified the sheriff’s office Saturday night that the man was overdue.

Davis says the initial investigation indicates Holcomb suffered a medical emergency and died at the scene.
