NEWARK, N.J. (AP) - Authorities are trying to determine whether foul play caused the death of a man found unresponsive in his Newark home over the weekend.

Essex County prosecutors say 46-year-old Mark Holley was pronounced dead shortly after police arrived at his home around 4:40 p.m. Sunday. They had gone there after receiving reports about a man who was sick or injured at the residence.

An autopsy was planned, but it was not known when the results would be made public.

The death is being investigated by the county’s major crimes task force.
