LEBANON, Maine (AP) - Police say a Sanford man who hid about $20,000 worth of heroin in a body cavity has been arrested after a weekend traffic stop in Lebanon.

The Maine Drug Enforcement Agency says 41-year-old Timothy Duval was a passenger in a vehicle that was pulled over at about 10 p.m. Saturday.

The vehicle was stopped after agents learned that Duval was returning to Maine with heroin bought in Massachusetts. Duval also had an outstanding federal arrest warrant for a probation violation.

During a search at the Cumberland County Jail, Duval was found to be in possession of 60 grams of heroin and 3.5 grams of cocaine.

He was held without bail pending a march 24 court appearance on trafficking and possession charges.

The driver was not arrested.
