KAILUA-KONA, Hawaii (AP) - Resurfacing work is set to begin Monday on the Mamalahoa Highway on Hawaii’s Big Island.

West Hawaii Today (https://is.gd/dVodHy) reports the work will continue through Feb. 18 from the Keopu Channel to the Keopu substation of the Hawaii Electric Light Co.

Motorists should plan for delays during the project, which will include alternate lane closures between 8:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.

According to Hawaii County, no roadwork will occur on weekends or holidays, and the work is weather-permitting.
