CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) - Federal authorities have arrested a Cheyenne man who has a violent criminal history for calling police and threatening to kill President Barack Obama.

An affidavit filed by a U.S. Secret Service agent alleges David Dwayne Perry called Cheyenne police from a locked mental health unit at Cheyenne Regional Medical Center on Jan. 24 and said he was going to bomb the White House and kill the president.

A mental health case manager at the hospital also told investigators that Perry had threatened a hospital staffer when he was released.

Perry made an initial court appearance Monday, and the judge ordered him committed to a mental health facility for up to 45 days for an evaluation.
