DOVER, Del. (AP) - All public schools in Delaware are closed to students Friday because of the bitter cold.

The National Weather Service says temperatures fell to 2 degrees in Wilmington, with a wind chill of 18 below zero. A wind chill advisory is in effect until 11 a.m., meaning frostbite and hypothermia are possible if precautions aren’t taken.

In Maryland, numerous public school districts decided to either close or open a few hours late on Friday.
