ELKO, Nev. (AP) - A man suspected of a kidnapping in Oklahoma has been arrested in Elko.

The Elko Daily Free Press reports (https://tinyurl.com/nq8qfmu) that a bail bondsman tracked 41-year-old Wesley Carlin to a home Thursday in a neighborhood where he’d been staying with a friend.

Police locked down two nearby schools when they learned Carlin had access to hunting rifles and obtained a search warrant for the home.

Officers were involved in about an hour-long standoff before Carlin surrendered without incident and was booked into the county jail on $90,000 bail.

Court records show Carlin is wanted on a warrant out of Oklahoma’s McClain County on charges of kidnapping, assault and battery and forgery.
