LOS ANGELES (AP) - Authorities say a man who died after setting himself on fire in the restroom of a Los Angeles Starbucks has been identified as a 57-year-old Van Nuys resident.

The Los Angeles County coroner’s office on Friday said the death of Brian Glanz has been classified as a suicide.

Fire Department spokesman Erik Scott says patrons at a Van Nuys Starbucks heard an explosive sound on Tuesday and saw Glanz stagger from the bathroom engulfed in flames.

He collapsed near the entrance and bystanders help put out the flames.

Glanz suffered burns over 90 percent of his body and died the next day.

There’s no word on what prompted his suicide.
