FIFE LAKE, Mich. (AP) - Authorities say some Michigan residents are dealing with power outages as temperatures plunge to more than 20 degrees below zero.

MLive.com reports some residents in the area of Fife Lake in Grand Traverse County on Friday lost power. Consumers Energy says more than 800 customers were affected and the outage may be related to a vehicle crash. Two electrical poles need to be replaced.

Grand Traverse County Emergency Management issued an alert Friday amid the cold. A warming center has been set up.

Also Friday, WOOD-TV reports power has been restored to more than 2,000 Consumers Energy customers in Oceana County following an early-morning outage.
