PALO ALTO, Calif. (AP) - Thieves backed a van through the front of a camera store in the latest crash-and-grab heist in the San Francisco Bay Area.

The San Francisco Chronicle reports (https://bit.ly/1ExxFDK) that the two men remain at large following the Thursday morning heist. Police say they stole an undisclosed amount of goods and caused thousands of dollars in damage.

No one was injured.

Police were looking into whether the burglary was related to a similar incident in the Silicon Valley earlier this month. In that heist, burglars smashed a van into a high-end audio store and stole merchandise. There have also been at least five similar crimes in the San Francisco Bay Area over the last year.

Last month, thieves smashed a stolen SUV through the front of a Wells Fargo museum in San Francisco, making off gold nuggets that remain missing.
