TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) - Tucson school district officials are pulling nearly a dozen school buses from circulation following a fire that occurred in one last week.

The Arizona Daily Star reported (https://bit.ly/1zRR5il) Thursday that the Tucson Unified School District is setting aside 11 buses that are from the same manufacturer as a bus that caught fire Feb. 10.

Nobody was aboard the bus at the time of the blaze in downtown Tucson.

Officials say the buses are being pulled as a precaution. They were all obtained at the same time as the bus that burned.

Firefighters say an electrical malfunction of an air conditioner switch caused the fire.

District Superintendent H.T. Sanchez says he believes it was an equipment malfunction, not a maintenance oversight, which led to the fire.
