BOSTON (AP) - Massachusetts residents are being urged to bundle up as they head out to work or play as temperatures are not expected to rise above the teens all day.

The National Weather Service has issued a wind chill advisory until 10 a.m. Friday.

The weather service reported that it was 6 degrees in Boston as of 6 a.m. Friday, but it felt like minus-15 with the wind chill factored in. The high Friday is expected to be 16.

It was even colder in central and western portions of the state, with Pittsfield bottoming out at minus-5 degrees, with the wind chill making it feel like 24 below. Worcester and North Adams also reported temperatures below zero.

Nantucket was a balmy 10 degrees.

No record lows were being reported.
