PHOENIX (AP) - State officials say they’re seeking public comment on drafts of updated Arizona standards for physical education and for foreign and native languages.

The Department of Education says the draft standards will be used to revise Arizona’s current standards and that parents and others can comment on the draft standards until March 2.

State Superintendent of Public Instruction Diane Douglas says the public comment period presents parents and teachers with a chance to have a direct impact on standards affecting children.
