CHICAGO (AP) - Chicago Public Library is bringing its citywide reading initiative to desktop computers, tablets and smartphones.

Anyone with a Chicago library card can read the current selection in the “One Book, One Chicago” program in six installments. The novel is titled “The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier & Clay” by Michael Chabon. The first installment is online until May 3. Later installments will be available for two weeks at a time.

Readers will be able to highlight passages and post their favorite quotes to Twitter, adding a social media element to the program.
