VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (AP) - A former Navy SEAL Foundation employee will spend more than a year in prison for embezzling from the charity.

Media outlets report that Tammy Mason was sentenced on Monday in Virginia Beach Circuit Court to a year and six months in prison. She had pleaded guilty in November 2014.

Prosecutors say Mason embezzled more than $120,000 while working for the foundation in 2014. She used the money for a vacation in Lake Tahoe, chartering a private jet, a personal trainer, and other personal expenses.

The foundation helps SEALs and their families during times of crisis.
