BUTTE, Mont. (AP) - A Deer Lodge man who missed a curve and slipped off a trail while snowmobiling with his family west of Anaconda died of a heart attack.

Anaconda-Deer Lodge Coroner Jerry Thomas tells The Montana Standard (https://bit.ly/1EC8bZ9 ) that 74-year-old Wayne Olmstead was lagging behind family members in the Red Lion area Friday just before he had the heart attack. Olmstead hit branches before falling off his snowmobile, which tilted to the side as it came to a stop.

He had a history of cardiac problems.
