NEW YORK (AP) - New York City is creating what it calls an inclusionary zoning requirement.

In every major rezoning development, the city will require developers to include affordable housing as a precondition.

Mayor Bill de Blasio says the approach has been successful at the Astoria Cove development in Queens.

He says there are many more re-zonings coming soon across the five boroughs.
