NEW YORK (AP) - About half of the senior citizens living in New York City are in a category called “housing burdened.”

Mayor Bill de Blasio said Tuesday that the program will be supported by a $400 million capital investment as well as Section 8 vouchers.

The first projects are slated to begin this year.
