HONOLULU (AP) - A Pacific Whale Foundation boat has run aground off the Lahaina harbor.

The 65-foot Ocean Discovery ran aground Monday afternoon near the channel leading to the harbor.

Responders found the vessel on the north side of the harbor channel and helped the crew secure anchor lines to keep the vessel from drifting.

The Honolulu Star-Advertiser (https://is.gd/PYEvSV) reports passengers were safely taken off the boat before responders arrived.

No injuries were reported and no fuel was seen leaking from the boat.

Salvage operations were coordinated by the Coast Guard and the state Harbor Division.
