WILMINGTON, Del. (AP) - Delaware State Police have identified a pedestrian who was killed while trying to cross Interstate 95 in Wilmington.

Troopers said Tuesday that 44-year-old Michael Ewell of Wilmington died after he was struck by five vehicles Saturday night when he walked directly into the path of an SUV.

Officers say Ewell was hit by five vehicles; earlier, officers had said he was hit by four cars. Ewell was pronounced dead at the scene.

The accident remains under investigation, but police say no charges are expected to be filed.
