TACOMA, Wash. (AP) - The Pierce County sheriff’s office says a transient killed a Parkland man with claw hammer or screwdriver in a fight over money.

The body of 51-year-old James Patrick Payne was found Saturday in a rented garage with injuries to his head and neck.

Sheriff’s spokesman Ed Troyer told The News Tribune (https://bit.ly/1zPSf4m) deputies arrested the 44-year-old suspect after he asked others to help him hide the body.
