DETROIT (AP) - Two 19-year-olds face vandalism charges in connection with the spray painting of a wall at a Detroit youth development center.

Police say Wednesday the man from Lathrup Village and woman from Southfield were arrested after several cans of spray paint and other evidence were found in one of their homes.

A handgun also was recovered.

Surveillance cameras caught two people spray painting an image of an angel pointing a gun at a police officer on an exterior wall Dec. 30 at the nonprofit YouthVille Detroit.

Photos of the two people doing the painting were distributed to area police agencies. Police in Southfield and Lathrup Village, north of Detroit, assisted in the case.
