DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (AP) - Officials say five people, including an infant, were hospitalized after a meth lab exploded near Daytona Beach.

Volusia County authorities say two adults and an 8-month-old child were in the house where the meth lab was located when it exploded on Wednesday.

The woman and child were taken to a hospital for evaluation and the man required treatment at the hospital.

Two firefighters also were taken to the hospital after they were exposed to a heavy cloud of chemical fumes.

Officials with the Volusia County Sheriff’s Office say charges are pending.
