CAMDEN, Ark. (AP) - State and federal authorities have announced the arrest of eight people in Camden on state and federal drug trafficking charges.

Authorities said Tuesday that the eight were involved in trafficking methamphetamine and crack cocaine in Camden and surrounding areas of south-central Arkansas.

U.S. Attorney for the Western District of Arkansas Conner Eldridge said the investigation was known as Operation Three Amigos. He said it included the 13th Judicial District Drug Task Force, Camden police, the Ouachita County Sheriff’s Office, the FBI, the Drug Enforcement Administration, the Ouachita County Prosecutor’s Office, and Arkansas State Police.

Authorities also seized two firearms and several rounds of ammunition, four vehicles and more than $10,000.00 in cash.
