DOVER, Del. (AP) - Delaware’s state auditor has avoided a sheriff’s sale of his home that was scheduled after several missed mortgage payments resulted in court action against him.

According to online court records, Republican auditor Tom Wagner was the subject of a default judgment in favor of M&T; Bank of more than $170,000 last year, including more than $20,000 in interest dating to 2012.

A sheriff’s sale of Wagner’s home was scheduled this week, but the sale was canceled after Wagner resolved the debt.
