PRESCOTT, Ariz. (AP) - Yavapai County Sheriff’s deputies have arrested a Cornville-area man for allegedly stealing his mother’s car and for violating his probation in Maricopa County.

Sheriff’s officials say 41-year-old Nathaniel Stubbs is being held on $4,500 bond in the Camp Verde Detention Center.

It was unclear Wednesday if he has a lawyer yet.

Deputies were dispatched Tuesday to Cornville after 51-year-old man reported that he had been assaulted and stabbed in the arm, allegedly by Stubbs.

They say Stubbs was located and arrested and that’s when his probation warrant was discovered along with the stolen car.

Deputies say assault charges are pending against Stubbs after the victim initially declined to prosecute.
