NORMAN, Okla. (AP) - A police search for suspects in a shooting at a Norman hotel led to a brief lockdown of some schools.

Capt. Tom Easley says the school lockdowns ended late Wednesday morning, but the search for the suspects continued.

Easley says the shooting was reported shortly after 6 a.m. Wednesday at a Hampton Inn where a man had a gunshot wound to the abdomen and was taken to an Oklahoma City hospital in undisclosed condition. His name was not released.

Easley said the man and up to four other people had rented a room at the hotel and one person is being questioned while the others fled.

One of the three was reported to be in south Norman later Monday morning, leading police to the area and the brief school lockdowns.
