LANCASTER, N.Y. (AP) - The attorney general’s office says a nurse’s aide in Erie County has pleaded guilty and surrendered his aide license after being arrested for sharing a compromising photo of an elderly patient.

Attorney General Eric Schneiderman announced Tuesday that Edward Melock was accused of taking a picture of the incontinent patient in a state of undress in March 2013, and sharing it via the Snapchat smartphone app.

Melock was employed at Greenfield Health and Rehabilitation Center in Lancaster.

Melock entered a guilty plea to a misdemeanor charge of willful violation of health laws and was sentenced to a one-year conditional discharge with 100 hours of community service.
