MONONA, Iowa (AP) - Authorities in a northeast Iowa county say 53 students were onboard a school bus when it was struck by another vehicle.

KCRG-TV reports (https://bit.ly/1LLd6Jn ) only one student on the bus was taken to a hospital for further examination in the Tuesday morning accident.

Clayton County authorities say emergency responders were sent to the scene after a pickup leaving a parking lot pulled in front of the bus traveling westbound on U.S. Highway 18.

The Cedar Rapids television station says the bus carrying students with the MFL MarMac School District had minimal damage. The pickup was left disabled by the impact.

The truck’s driver was cited for failing to yield.
