KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) - Authorities have identified a Kansas City man who died after being shot while driving on Interstate 49 last week in Grandview.

Grandview police spokesman Sgt. Dean Van Winkle says 23-year-old D’Shawn L. Marchbanks Jr. has died after being taken off life support.

Police say Marchbanks on Friday was driving north on the highway with a passenger when someone in another vehicle fired at his car. They say Marchbanks was hit by at least one bullet, and shattered glass struck the passenger.

No arrests have been made. Anyone with information is asked to call authorities.
