OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) - Oklahoma City police say a man has been arrested after threatening to kill a family with a chain saw at a gas station if they didn’t give him money.

The 34-year-old man has been booked into the Oklahoma County jail on complaints of burglary and robbery with a dangerous weapon.

Officers responded to a suspicious activity call Monday morning and found the man, who they say appeared to be under the influence of a narcotic.

The man told officers some people inside a gray vehicle were trying to kill him. The same vehicle later pulled up, and a woman told police the man approached her and her family earlier at a gas station.

She says she and her family fled the parking lot and called 911 after he threatened them with the chain saw in his hand.
