BOONEVILLE, Miss. (AP) - Authorities say a posting on popular buy and sell site Craigslist led the arrest of a Booneville man for the theft of computers from Northeast Mississippi Community College.

Prentiss County Sheriff Randy Tolar says 15 Think Pad Edge computers were stolen from the college last fall. Tolar says the computers were brand new, still in the box and worth more than $10,000.

Tolar says some of the computers started surfacing on Craigslist and investigators traced them back to 29-year-old Michael Brandon Meeks.

Meeks was arrested on Jan. 27 and charged with grand larceny. His bond was set at $25,000. Meeks remains in the county jail.

It is unclear if he has an attorney.
