MYRTLE CREEK, Ore. (AP) - A 68-year-old Southern Oregonian has been accused in the killing of a man reported missing earlier this week.

The Roseburg News-Review (https://bit.ly/1zpzfYk) reports the suspect is Steven Paul Merry of Myrtle Creek, and the victim is 29-year-old Justin Ray Davis of Sutherlin.

The Douglas County sheriff’s office says Davis’ father reported he’d found his son’s body Thursday near railroad tracks a mile from Myrtle Creek, which is along Interstate 5 about 15 miles south of Roseburg.

Davis was reported missing Tuesday.

The Douglas County sheriff’s department didn’t immediately say how Davis was killed or provide other details such as a motive.
