ATLANTA (AP) - Jeff Teague scored 23 points and the Atlanta Hawks overcame Golden State’s one-two backcourt punch with balance, beating the Warriors 124-116 on Friday night in a showdown between the NBA’s two conference leaders.

It was tied at halftime and Atlanta led by four entering the final period. Back-to-back 3-pointers by Mike Scott and Kyle Korver, who each had 17 points, helped stretch the lead.

Al Horford had 12 points and 14 rebounds for Atlanta.

Golden State’s one-two punch of Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson did do some damage. Thompson scored 29 points and Curry had 26 for Golden State, which had its three-game winning streak snapped.

Atlanta improved to 42-9, and Golden State dropped to 39-9.


OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) - Anthony Davis scored 41 points and hit a 3-pointer as time expired to lift New Orleans past Oklahoma City.

Davis also grabbed 10 rebounds and outdueled Thunder guard Russell Westbrook, who had a career-high 48 points to go with 11 assists and nine rebounds. Westbrook, who scored 45 points as part of a triple-double Wednesday night in a win at New Orleans, made three free throws with 1.2 seconds left to tie it.

Davis took the inbounds pass from Tyreke Evans and, with Kevin Durant running at him, hit the shot to silence the raucous crowd.


INDIANAPOLIS (AP) - C.J. Miles had 26 points, George Hill converted a key four-point play and the Indiana ended Cleveland’s winning streak at 12 games.

With Indiana down by one with 1:26 to play, Hill hit an off-balance, one-handed 3 and was fouled taking the shot. He made the free throw to extend Indiana’s lead to three points.

Hill finished with 20 points, and David West had 20 points and 13 rebounds. Cleveland led by as many as 13 points, but Indiana closed the third quarter on a 14-2 run to cut it to three.

Kyrie Irving led the Cavaliers with 29 points, and LeBron James had 25.


MINNEAPOLIS (AP) - Ricky Rubio shook off an ankle injury in the fourth quarter to score eight points in the final 1:47 and Minnesota snapped Memphis’ winning streak at eight.

Rubio appeared to re-injure the ankle that kept him out for 42 games earlier in the season on a driving layup with 6 minutes to play. He came back a minute later, hit two big 3-pointers and then knocked down a pair of free throws with 10.2 seconds to play.

Rubio finished with 17 points and five assists, and Andrew Wiggins had 18 points.

Mike Conley had 15 points and seven assists for the Grizzlies.


TORONTO (AP) - DeMar DeRozan scored 24 points, Kyle Lowry had 21 and Toronto overcame a 20-point deficit to hand Los Angeles its fourth loss in five games.

Lou Williams had 18 points, Greivis Vazquez scored 12 of his 17 points in the fourth quarter, and James Johnson returned from a four-game absence to add 16 for the Raptors.

Blake Griffin scored 26 points for Los Angeles. Chris Paul had 22, and Jamal Crawford 18. The Clippers are 2-4 on an eight-game trip that will finish with stops in Oklahoma City and Dallas.


HOUSTON (AP) - NBA scoring leader James Harden had 33 points and hit three of Houston’s 15 3-pointers in the Rockets’ victory over Milwaukee.

Trevor Ariza added 24 points for the Rockets, going 6 of 10 from 3-point range.

Giannis Antetokounmpo had 27 points and 15 rebounds for Milwaukee.

SUNS 100, JAZZ 93

PHOENIX (AP) - Marcus Morris scored 24 of his career-high 34 points in the first half and had a career-best 12 rebounds in Phoenix’s victory over Utah.

Morris was one point shy of his career best by halftime, making 5 of 6 3s off the bench in the first two quarters. Eric Bledsoe added 15 points to help the Suns snap a three-game losing streak.

Gordon Hayward scored 24 points for Utah.


NEW YORK (AP) - Brook Lopez had 22 points and nine rebounds, and Jarrett Jack made a clutch 3-pointer with 13.8 seconds left to help Brooklyn beat visiting New York.

The Nets secured the city series by beating the Knicks for the third time in three meetings this season, clinching it for the first time since sweeping all four games in 2006-07.

Jack finished with 20 points and eight assists.

Carmelo Anthony had 21 points for the Knicks.


ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) - Tobias Harris had a career-high 34 points and Orlando snapped a 10-game losing streak with the victory over Los Angeles.

Nik Vucevic added 25 points and 13 rebounds. It was the Magic’s first victory under interim coach James Borrego. He took over after Jacque Vaughn was fired on Thursday.

Ryan Kelly led Los Angeles with 20 points, connecting on five 3-pointers.

CELTICS 107, 76ERS 96

BOSTON (AP) - Jared Sullinger had 22 points, eight rebounds and seven assists to help Boston beat Philadelphia for its third straight victory.

Avery Bradley added 18 points, and Marcus Thornton and Tyler Zeller each had 16 for Boston.

Luc Mbah a Moute led Philadelphia with 18 points.


AUBURN HILLS, Mich. (AP) - Greg Monroe had 21 points and a career-high 21 rebounds and Detroit cruised past slumping Denver.

D.J. Augustin added 22 points and 11 assists, and Andre Drummond had 13 points and 13 rebounds for Detroit. Ty Lawson had 20 points and nine assists for Denver. The Nuggets have dropped 12 of 13.
