WEWOKA, Okla. (AP) - A Former police officer in Oklahoma has been sentenced to five years in prison after pleading guilty to the rape of an underage girl while on duty.

The state Attorney General’s Office said Monday that Trever Blackwell pleaded guilty to a felony count of second-degree rape. He will serve 10 years of supervised probation upon his release and must register as a sex offender.

Prosecutors say the assaults took place in Seminole County between August 2011 and January 2012 while Blackwell was working for the Wewoka Police Department. They say he met the 15-year-old victim through a community outreach program.
