SAN FRANCISCO (AP) - Police say three armed men robbed a jewelry store in downtown San Francisco two days after thieves held up the Tiffany & Co. store at a nearby shopping mall.

KNTV reports (https://bit.ly/1KHvvn9 ) police on Monday said the suspects walked into the store last Friday afternoon and ordered all the employees to get down on the ground. They then emptied the safes and display cases.

Witnesses say the trio then exited Tina’s Jewelry, jumped into a light colored SUV and took off. The store was closed Monday.

The heist follows the robbery of the Tiffany’s store on Market Street. In that case, the suspects also had all the employees hit the ground and grabbed jewels.

Police say there is no indication the two cases are connected.
