HIGHLAND PARK, Mich. (AP) - An officer in the Detroit enclave of Highland Park has been shot in the leg during a police raid on a home.

Highland Park Mayor Deandre Windom tells (https://bit.ly/1KHmfPC ) WDIV-TV Monday night that the officer was conscious and being treated at an area hospital.

Detroit police helped drive the officer to the hospital. No other details were released.

The officer is the second from the small police department to be shot in recent days.

Highland Park reserve officer Roderick Jones was shot and killed early Saturday morning while working off-duty as a security guard at a Detroit bar. Jones was shot multiple times after telling a man to leave the bar.

Walter Jennings of Detroit has been charged with first-degree murder in Jones’ slaying.
