FORT COLLINS, Colo. (AP) - Authorities are investigating after a pedestrian was struck by a train in northern Colorado.

The Larimer County Sheriff’s Office says the pedestrian, whose name and age have not been released, was hit in Wellington just before 5 p.m. Monday. Investigators have not said why the victim was on the tracks.

The pedestrian, whose condition has not been released, has only been identified as a female. No other information was available Monday night.
