SALEM, Ore. (AP) - A 51-year-old Salem man accused of murder in the fatal stabbing of his older brother goes on trial Monday.

Authorities told the Statesman Journal (https://stjr.nl/1zp6k1T) the brothers were in a fight July 3.

The victim was 58-year-old Larry Bush.

A police affidavit says his brother, Jon Louis Bush, was read his Miranda rights and then confessed to a Salem detective that he had stabbed his brother with a sword.

The younger brother’s attorney argues that the younger brother wasn’t read his Miranda rights before he was handcuffed.
