DENVER (AP) - Police have arrested a woman in connection with a hit-and-run crash in downtown Denver that killed a 22-year-old pedestrian.

The Denver Post reports (https://dpo.st/1veOgXN ) Brenda Rosales-Montoya is being held on suspicion of reckless driving during a vehicular homicide and leaving the scene of a fatal accident.

The Denver coroner’s office says Andrew Marthaler was killed in the crash at about 2:15 a.m. Sunday.

Investigators say Rosales-Montoya was driving about 60 mph in a 30 mph zone when she hit the man, who was crossing the street in the middle of the block.

A witness followed Rosales-Montoya and recorded her license plate number, according to an arrest affidavit.

Attempts to reach the jail to see if Rosales-Montoya has hired an attorney were unsuccessful Monday night.
