SOUTH CHARLESTON, W.Va. (AP) - Someone bought a Mega Millions ticket in South Charleston that’s worth $1 million.

West Virginia Lottery Director John Musgrave said Monday that the ticket matched five numbers for the Friday drawing but missed the Mega Ball. It was purchased at a retail location in South Charleston.

The winning numbers were 37-49-50-56-57 and the Mega Ball was 8. The Megaplier was x5.

It’s the first multistate game ticket worth at least $1 million sold in West Virginia this year. Last year, a record 13 such tickets were sold in the state.
