COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) - Gov. Nikki Haley released Monday her $6.9 billion budget for 2015-16, which spends an additional $222 million of new revenue projected to come into the general fund from state taxes. It does not include her plan for funding road and bridge work. She says that will come later this month. Highlights of her proposal:

-$51 million to increase the “base student cost” to $2,200 per student

-$10 million for reading coaches in elementary schools, for a total of $40 million

-$29 million for technology improvements in schools

-$4 million to train teachers to use the new technology

-$7 million to take 1,600 children with disabilities off waiting lists for services

-$5 million for autism disorder services

-44 additional probation and parole agents

-11 new agents at the State Law Enforcement Division

-3 new violent and sex crimes prosecutors in the attorney general’s office
