COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (AP) - A woman who has expressed interest in running for mayor of Colorado Springs was back behind bars Monday after police say she violated a domestic violence protection order and assaulted a man.

Colorado Springs police says Justine Herring was arrested after officers were called to a domestic dispute.

A week earlier, Herring was arrested and charged with menacing after police say the 48-year-old waved an AR-15 rifle at a man and claimed to be a federal law enforcement officer during an incident at Memorial Park.

According to the Colorado Springs Gazette (https://tinyurl.com/kjh63do ), police say Herring could face felony charges. Court records did not list an attorney for Herring.
